Dancing While the World Burns

Dancing While the World Burns is a first-hand, youth culture documentation, seeking to uncover the essence of ordinary individuals, whilst emphasizing the extraordinary post pandemic era. Moving unseen and unnoticed through club settings, concerts, raves, and day to day activities, the use of point and shoot cameras is the rejection of a formal photographic approach. At a time when so many youths live their life on camera, endlessly uploading evidence of presence to others, there’s something odd, almost uncelebrated, in the fluctuating loyalties, affection and challenges of friendship. These Individuals represent a significant historical and cultural period, its fashion, ideologies, and apparent trivialities.
