The things that make me

The things that make me examines how culture shapes identity through visual expressions such as clothing, rituals and community gatherings. Focusing on weddings and traditional dress, the project aims to celebrate representation and challenge stereotypes often seen in mainstream media. By capturing real people in real environments, the work creates space for cultural pride, dialogue, and self-expression. The project is both personal and collective—a reflection of lived experiences and the beauty found in everyday cultural rituals and traditions.
