Where Fear Lives
Facing our fears is something most people naturally avoid, it’s rarely a pleasant experience. One common fear many of us share is the unease of walking alone through certain areas or locations. Whether it’s due to past experiences, discomfort, or a sense of vulnerability, we all have places we try to avoid. My project explores these personal fears by capturing the specific locations identified by local individuals as spaces they feel uncomfortable in. Alongside photographs of these places, I’ve included portraits of the individuals revisiting and confronting their fears within those environments. This work aims to highlight these overlooked, often unsettling spaces, and spark broader conversations about uncommon vulnerabilities.
